McDonald's French Fries

Ingredients
- 2 large Russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch thick strips
- Vegetable oil
- Salt
Instructions
- Soak potatoes: Soak the potato strips in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Dry potatoes: Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Heat oil: Heat 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Fry potatoes: Add the potato strips to the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain and salt: Remove the fries from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.
